We started out the month with Anthony and I's 5 year anniversary-- and we went up to Silverthorne to stay in a condo! One of the gals that I took Newborn pictures for has a beautiful condo up there--and let us use it for the weekend! It was absolutely gorgeous--and we had a great time! One day we went up to Keystone and rode the Gondola with the boys to the top-- they both loved it-- but Noah would just stand on the seat staring out--it was so cute! Anthony was so sweet-- when we got there-- he had ordered a beautiful vase/bouquet of Roses, and they were sitting on the step of the condo when I came back out to get some luggage! So sweet!
The next week-- we set off for New Mexico to visit Devin and Becky! The boys did great in the car as usual-- and the trip was pretty good getting there and back! We had a great time down there-- and the boys loved playing with their cousins! We did some Rock Climbing (well I didn't really...;), and also went swimming! Mason is OBSESSED with the Water!! He just swam in that pool for over an hour with his turtle being so happy and splashing! The water actually kinda has a calming effect on Noah-- which is good that something does! ;) It was a great trip! good to see you guys!!
Other than that-- we have tried to just beat this crazy heat we have had this month by staying inside a lot (boo) in the afternoons. We spend our days just moving around the house playing from one place to another b/c the boys get bored so easy! They play in their walkers, on the livingroom floor (Noah just crawls everywhere), in their Playgym ("corral" I made for them-- they love it!!), on the kitchen floor with kitchen utensils and pits and pans, in the basement, in the jumper, on the porch in walkers, etc........Wow! I am tired just re-living that just now.....
We try to go for walks in the AM everyday before it gets hot-- or we go in the PM if the weather cooperates. I usually take them "out and about" after their 2nd nap in the late afternoon.
As for the boys development and such..I will just recap each of them here-- as they are changing so fast!! It has been a busy month!
Mason-- Like I mentioned abouve, Mason has become just fascinated with Water! He would spend hours splashing and playing in Pools or his Bath if we let him. IT is too cute! Our neighbors have a pool that we have taken them over to a few times-- but it is not heated, so it has to be really hot days. Other than that, has become a super-proficient roller! He is not crawling yet-- but gets all over the house by rolling! By the end of the month, he is now starting to Army Crawl a bit....but he is not using his upper arm strength at all...and uses his super string legs for everything. He did his Head tilt thing again, so I called the Doc (he wanted to know when it happened again), and he urged him to just get a 2nd look again by a Neurologist. Boo. So, we did that-- and she was convinced he was just fine with his gross Motor Skills-- but she also agreed that some Physical Therapy for his neck and Arms would be a good idea. She also thinks that he may be having "migraines" (supposedly they are not real painful like an adult one though...?), and that is why he gets the head tilt thing every once in a while. She was not concerned though-- and said not to worry. Who knows. Anyway, he is really starting to show the desire to want to be mobile now--and he is trying! I set up an evaluation through the County (it is free), and if he "qualifies" -- we would get free Physical Therapy for him in our home as long as he needed it to help his Arm strength. that is at the end of September. he will easily go from sitting up to his tummy now, but he still cannot sit himself back up.
This little boy is a smart cookie though. You can just tell.... he really stares at toys and tried to "figure them out", and will find tiny little pieces on them to turn, or move, etc. He is very dedicated to something when he gets on to it. He also loves to Read! He will sit down and open books and turn the pages and look at the pictures and laugh and point at them with his little "claw" (he uses his pointer finger to touch everything--it is so funny), and then babble at the book like he is reading it. It is pretty much the cutest thing. Also, we think that he may have actually said "BOOK" a few times when looking at the book and pointing!!! 1st WORD???!!!! Mason is very good at vocalizing and his fine motor skills! HE is also starting to eat a lot more finger foods....but he also likes to Play with his food! ;) He eats it when he is ready.....
One thing that has not been so fun lately is that he gets really mad at Noah a lot. Sometimes it is rightfully so...Noah will just crawl right up to him and take his toy and then crawl away.....little stinker. They also fight over toys a lot now. Mason still has the flare for the Drama-- and throws Temper Tantrums with the best of them!
Noah-- Oh man-- he is a mobile little guy now! He Crawls all over the place--and gets into everything!! ;) He is already standing by himself for a few seconds too-- and cruises along furniture like a pro. I think he will be walking in the next month or so (or at least taking a few steps). He likes to crawl over to brother and take any toy he is playing with-- and just kinda "sit" on Mason......urgh. They butt heads a little lately! I'd say Noah's favorite thing right now are Fans. He cannot stay away from the Box fan in the livingroom (which is not good b/c he sticks his fingers in it!), and we have a standup Airpurifier that is in their room--and he is just obsessed with standing up on it and pushing the buttons (we let him on there b/c there is no blade or anything). He continues to just be such a little "scrunch face" cutie--and laughs and giggles with the best of them! He is our little Adrenaline Junkie too! He just LOVES being thrown in the air, rough-housed, doing flips, etc! I am scared for teenage years......
Overall, they are doing great! Happy little boys! We are still dealing with some sleep issues (Noah mostly), and teething (they each have a few teeth now), etc. They also both had colds this month pretty bad--so that was no fun! Until next month! Enjoy the pics!
Oh-- I am going to do a separate post of our trip to New Mexico-- I just had so many pics of the boys and my adorable Niece and Nephew--so I figured it would be a lot!!! Coming soon!!
I went to my Moms in Lyons one day and decided I wanted to get some really cute pics of the boys when they are not surrounded by toys and such! ;)

The boys all wrapped up in their towels after swimming at Grandma Lorries!
Mason found the snack shelf (of course...;), and proceeds to pull everything off and shake all the bags and bottles of treats like rattles!
They are obsessed with this toy. This is at Grandma Lorrie's-- but my mom brought one back for us just like it from new Mexico (some friends of my brother's gave it to us! thanks!) Noah loves it b/c he can stand on it for hours and play, and Mason is really starting to like it now and stand up and gain strength too!
Noah decided he wanted to climb into his carseat for some reason...his legs were eventually straight up in the air!
Our good friends Jeff and Julie came our from Pittsburgh and we got to meet their adorable elittle girl-- Alyssa! look how Noah has his hand on her knee.....sly little guy. She and Mason actually really liked each other though.
For a few days-- tboth boys were really into Pacifiers again!? I think it was just because they liked it for the teething. They are over them again.
Ever since Noah became Mobile, and Mason can roll around the whole house-- I was going a bit crazy. So, I purchased this little "corral" so that I could put them in it when I needed a few minutes!! ;) They LOVE it.

One day Mason was being Super Cute in the kitchen with me while Noah napped. He just played on the floor with kitchen utensils for a bout an hour! so cute.

Noah literally SHOVES food in his mouth. He will chew even if the food didn't go in--it is hilarious! He will eat anything!! Mason is a bit more picky-- he is weird about some textures--but a fantastic eater too (obviously!)
