2012 Wrap up and Holidays!

I can't believe I am sitting here writing this...and it is almost February of 2013!!  Aren't we all suppose to be robots by now!?

We had a fantastic end to 2012!  We enjoyed a lot of time with Family and friends-- and even though we caught the horrible bug that devastated many families this year (huge flu pandemic)-- we are bouncing back and feeling better starting out 2013.

In November, I (Jenae) celebrated my 30th birthday with some of my dearest family and friends in Ft. Collins!  Love you all!  I am really looking forward to my 30's-- I don't feel like I "belong" in my 20's anymore....if that makes any sense at all.

we had a very nice Thanksgiving up at Great-Grandma and Grandpa Lopez's house in Greeley!  however...the boys managed to completely destroy their living room by throwing dirt from the planter all over her WHITE carpet!  You turn your eyes for 2 minutes......toddlers!

Over the last 2 months in general, we have spent a lot of weekends traveling up north to Windsor/Ft. Collins/Greeley, etc.....we really enjoy seeing all of our Family and frinds up north-- and I have been fortunate enough to have some great Photography shoots up that way-- which has kept me busy!  We always enjoy staying at Grandma Lorrie and Papa Greg's house-- (and "Unc jay")-- we appreciate all the help and support!

Dodo and Papa have visited a few times as well-- and they have helped on more than a few occasions when I need a sitter because I have a meeting or shoot.  Thank you!  The boys adore all of you so much-- we are so lucky to have you!

December was a whirlwind (as usual)-- but we were so happy to have Devin and Becky and logan and Laila stay with us for Christmas!  We had Xmas eve here at our house, and then got to wake up with all of them, and Dodo and Papa stayed too!  It was really nice!!  Then, we headed up north to see Papa Rich for the night-- all the kids had a great time seeing them, and playing together again!  The boys scored some sweet coats from Papa!!

We then headed to Windsor to stay Lorrie and Greg for a few days!  Of course....Grandma Lorrie spoiled the boys!!  we had a lovely few days with them!  We also really enjoyed the time that we have spent with Jay (we also got to see Ariana and Jim and his son steven!)-- as he has now left and started his search for his own house again!  Boo.  we already miss him!!

Such a whirlwind-- but a grea couple of months just livin' it up!  Busy for me-- and a lot of things "in the works" for the next few months (my business expanding, Anthony is going to get his Master's degree, the boys will start Daycare part-time, etc....)--- so we are going to try to really just enjoy the way things are right now-- before everything shifts a bit!

A few things that I wrote down to "remember" from November and December (about the boys):

November:
- "I ride it?"
- They sit on the ground and pass a ball back and forth-- "ready?"
- They are really getting independent!  they want to do everything themselves-- and like to help with cleaning projects!
- They love getting in their cribs and playing and screaming at each other!  They will want me to turn on their Christmas music too "Song?"
-Noah really in a crib phase...he will often want to just be in his crib and lay there with his babies.  I think he likes to get away from mason sometimes!
- they have started really wrestling!!  although-- Mason more so-- Noah doesn't like it as mcuh-- I think bc Mason is so much bigger!!
-"I big boy?"
- they'll sit on the potty-- but still not quite pushing it yet.
- "Why???"
- Love watching the trash trucks
-- Still obsessed with their trains
-- Noah's favorite numbers are 4 & 10
-- "Christmas lights!"
- "I did it!!"
- "I like it??"
- "Chiky-fries!"
- they like to act like Snakes!
-- Noah our little foodie!  he likes to try everything-- and will eat some surprising stuff-- but Mason is very Picky-- and mealtimes are rough with him.
-- They know who Santa is-- but obviously don't understand Xmas yet.
- starting to understand the concept of "scary" and the dark, etc.

December:
-Love Grandma Doris' talking parrot that they got form her
- Rarely ever use Stroller anymore.  they are getting pretty good at walking in stores with me and somewhat listening!  At zoo and such-- I take it-- but they pretty much walk.
- They know our street and where we live-- "Wisconsin!!"
-- Noah-- "wan-baby" = his 2nd baby....?
- Once and a while if they have a really good night sleep-- they don't nap. ;(
- Noah VERY fussy this month.  Whiny and mommy-dependent.  last molars??  Then we found out that during Xmas and such-- he had an ear infection and bronchiolitis!! poor dude.
-- 12/21-- MASON POOPED IN THE POTTY!!  He was running around naked-- and then he stopped and I knew he was going to poop-- so I grabbed him and stuck him on there!  So-- he did it-- but it wasn't a super conscious thing yet ;)  Still a good thing!
-- Everyone SUPER sick after Xmas--- horrible!  lasted a few weeks for us all!
-- Mason was such a happy and good boy all month!!  He really enjoyed Xmas time with all his cousins too!  He would just run around all hyper!  he and Karysa really love each other and like to play together!
-- they have been doing this for a while-- but they love to get in the downstairs Shower and play for some reason!  keeps them pretty occupied for a bit! ;) "Shower!"
-- they have really liked their baths lately (yay!)-- and love running around naked!! "I run 'round?"
-- Noah's vocabulary and speech has really boomed-- he is enunciating much better and doing small sentences too!  Mason is very advanced, and can do 5 word sentences-- and can enunciate very difficult words pretty perfectly!

here are the pics for November- and December-- there are a lot!!!!  Again, this is more my journal than anything-- so you get lots of pics!! ;)  Happy 2013!

PS-- not liking the way this blog compresses and displays images-- may need to switch in the future.....boo.
