May 2011

We had a wonderful month! The boys are really learning so much and becoming the cutest little boys (as opposed to the cutest BABIES)! It is so interesting to see how each one is developing and hitting certain Milestones. Noah is really just ready to go---- he wants to crawl, walk, play with everything, etc.! Whereas, Mason is just the happiest little content boy-and will just cuddle up to you and lay on the floor and relax! "Why would I try to crawl or sit, when someone will hold me?"
So, it is making for some very interesting days sometimes! To sum it up at the moment (because I bet it will change eventually!), Noah is our little energy ball spitfire, and Mason is our chilled out dude!

They are doing great with their Solid food, and they eat about 3 big meals a day. There is nothing that they don't like so far--except Mason still isn't big on Avocado. Mason will eat as much as you will give him, but Noah is often too busy to eat! Thus.....the nemesis of my day.....Noah is still too distracted to eat (nurse) more often than not--so he will wake up from his Naps at his 45 minute sleep cycle, and not be able to go back to sleep b/c he realizes he is hungry. urgh....we are still working on this. Mason does great though! Eats whenever (big guy!), and takes great Naps! We will get there with Noah--- I am finding out though that Noah just does things when Noah wants to do things.....uh-oh. ;)

Probably the biggest news to report is the Mason's REFLUX IS GOING AWAY!!!!! yay!!!!!!! It was like overnight a couple weeks ago--he just stopped spitting up as much! HE still spits a little bit each day, and will once and a while have a good one-- but overall it is MUCH BETTER! such a relief! Noah's is still at bay the way it has been for a while, and he will spit once and while too--but not nearly as much! So happy for the little guys!

They both still have some tummy issues I think though--b/c they get really bad gas pains a lot....bot sure if it is something I am eating or what. I give them probiotics everyday though, and yogurt in the mornings. If they are really having a bad time, I will give them Colic Calm--which is a miracle NATURAL medicine that has worked wonders for us. Simethicone never really seemed to help--but this stuff is great! Recommend it to all moms!

Noah is now sitting on his own great! I still put the boppy around him when he is on the floor just in case he falls, but he doesn't need it. He will fall forward....but I kinda let him so that he learns to crawl, etc. Mason is sitting much better now--and he will sit by himself for a minute or so--- but the guy just has a much bigger head to hold up! ;) they LOVE sitting in the Papason chair outside! They just love being outside in general. They will sit in their exerciser's out there while I work in the yard--it is so cute!

They are really starting to notice each other now--- and they will sometimes kindof play with each other. Mason used to get so upset when Noah would even touch him--(big baby ;), but now Noah will touch his face and try to get him to play, and Mason doesn't mind.

In the middle of the month, we took our 1st big trip with them to Phoenix to visit family! I have to say--they did really well on the plane ride both ways--such good boys! We gave them dum-dum suckers for the pressure on the plane, and boy did they love those! Mason ate 2 of them before even taking off! the rest of the trip was pretty good-- but pretty stressful (as to be expected I guess). The 1st day there, I think they were just SO overstimulated--they didn't sleep at all--so the night was horrible. The rest of the trip I ended up feeding them when they got up at night--and then they would fall asleep in the bed with us-- so I think they got into some old habits, and we are still trying to get back on track for not waking at night again! boo. But it was really good to see everyone--and the boys had fun!

They will be 8 months old on the 17th-- I just can't believe it! Time really does fly--and it doesn't......

Until next month!

(Lots of pictures as usual!)

First, here are some pictures from our trip to Phoenix!

1st train ride at DIA!

Uncle Gary took the boys out for their first time in a pool!

Grandma saying bye to Mason

The cool thing about Phoenix is that we have lots of family there! Anthony's Uncle Jay and Jim were awesome and let us borrow a car for the weekend (HUGE help!), and then they took Anthony out one day for a hike and "such"...;)

Grandpa and Noah!

Cory and Jen and Karysa went to visit at the same time as us--so it was cool to hang out with them too! I LOVE this picture of Karysa!

My cousin Brittany's daughter, Darby, had her 2 year old birthday party while we were there--and here is one of my favorite pics of her!

Grandpa and Mason! I think they really had a connection!

Mason, Noah, and Karysa in Mom and Randy's new Trailer! (uh-oh, somebody is eye-rubbing!)

I didn't have any time to get any landscape pics of the Desert like I wanted--but I popped this one off on Gary and Carries roof deck!

Boy, Papa Randy sure loves his little guys!!

Grandma and Noah!

Ok--here is the rest of the month!
I managed to find a 2nd matching highchair on Craigslist--so now they each have their own!

I love this picture...
"Mom, really? Another Picture?"

I was using Noah to test the size of some of my Newborn Props. He is always my little Model!

Daddy playing Peek-a-boo out the window with the boys!

Noah loves to really scoot around in his walker (he stands up real tall and screams!)

They love my basting brushes....

Noah sits up perfectly now! good little dude....

HE can get his Toe in his mouth, and loves to suck on it! ;)

Really? Do you get any cuter than that?

Mason rolling over!

We are slowly breaking in Uncle Alex.....I think he even changed a diaper last week!

Bathtime. typical scene.

This was so adorable....Noah just passed out on Grandma Viola---precious.

My Cloth diaper babies!! I started doing Cloth diapers a few weeks ago. We still use disposables for travel and nighttime though.

Noah rolling over!

Uh-oh.

I just can't get enough of them...just look at him! ;)

April 2011

April ended with a bit of a bummer-- poor little Noah got a nasty Cold and Cough that he still has--but the rest of the month we kept pretty darn busy!

In the middle of the month, the boys turned 6 months old!! I can't believe it--time really does fly.....but at the same time it can seem like eternity....
At that time, Mason weighed in at 16.1 lbs, and 26.5 inches! He was in the 50th percentile overall!
Noah came in at 15 lbs, 25 inches! He is still in the 10th percentile overall--but growing well!

Not much to report in terms of Reflux--- it is still looming, and still annoying. The boys started Solid food this month though (makes for some great pictures--and great messes!)--and the doctor said that that should help with the Reflux. I am beginning to think they are just telling me whatever to keep me from asking about it all the time. In the grand scheme--they basically just need to Outgrow it--and get a little bigger.
This too shall pass.......

Both boys are doing great with learning to roll better, spending more time on their tummies, and almost sitting.....so close!! It is really hard for them because their upset tummy and reflux often hinders their desire to sit and be on their stomach---but we work at it everyday!

Mason had a few weeks where his head was really tilting to one side---so we really worked on sitting him up, and then massaged his neck a lot--and I think he just had a really bad kink! poor dude! He is much better now.

Oh Naps......if I could express my frustration with this right now to you...your computer would spontaneously blow up in your face and then reproduce into tiny little baby computers that just rubbed their eyes and cried for an hour straight but wouldn't go to sleep.....
I just can't figure out if they are dropping a nap, or needing more sleep, etc. What's worse is that I am starting to notice different sleeping patterns in each of them---so my days of trying to keep them on ONE schedule may be changing...and they will each need their OWN schedule.....fun!!!
This too shall pass....

Overall though--they are the sweetest little boys--and becoming such cute little men! They really have defined personalities now---and it is so fun to watch them interact with each other (except when Noah is stealing Mason's toys)--and with us! So cute! I really do feel extremely lucky that I get to spend my days with them...even when on days that I am exhausted!

We are taking our first trip with the boys in a couple weeks---to visit Family in Phoenix! So, everyone pray for us at the airport---and hope that we make it without needing to down a bunch of Anxiety medication ;)

Enjoy the pics! I will probably do a post of just Videos soon....there are some pretty hilarious ones!

I wanted to get some pictures of the boys and I when I wasn't in my PJ's--so I had my mom snap a few of us playing in the yard!

Yep, those are Peas on his face. Turns out the one food Mason doesn't like so far is Avocados....which is weird b/c that is my favorite!!
Noah likes to "sit" in his bouncy chair now. He is getting so strong!
This is how you read to 2 babies at once ;)

We only have one highchair at the moment, so one baby is in that, and the other in the Bumbo chair when they eat. Noah isn't allowed in there much anymore though b/c he tries to crawl out of it and look over the side of it. He was really in to trying to crawl INTO the Fruit basket for a while....
Noah can stand against the arm of the Couch now!
This is our Rolls-Royce of jogging strollers! It is so nice--you can even hook your phone or ipod into the top and there are speakers! This will be so awesome now that it is warming up! Thanks Kyle and Natalie! (You can see Mason's head tilt he had a for a few days....poor dude!)
This is what the boys think of the doctors instructions...... (Mason throws up on them, and Noah tears it up!)

Easter Sunday at Grandma Lorrie's. Here are the boys with their cousin Karysa! (Who LOVES them by the way....she is always saying "Noah Mason, Noah Mason")
Noah helping Grandma Lorrie in the kitchen!
At about 5:45 at night--- the boys start to melt down, and we strip them down to their diapers and let them play together on the floor--and that seems to do the trick for another 30 minutes or so!

This is what happens when mommy leaves Daddy... (Notice the Earplugs)
(In reality he does great with the boys!!;)

I have to give Noah a lot of toys on his tray b/c his new thing is throwing them all over the floor and making me pick them up over and over again...

Mason loves to push up really hard with his feet and almost tip over the Exerciser! (and scream of course...)
Totally zoning out after eating....

Hanging out with me while I try to do some yard work!

They love their Papa Greg!

They love to play with the little Clementine oranges when they are in the kitchen.

Mason loves to try and grab the Camera strap when I take pictures.

(I'm sure he is screaming and talking up a storm!)
With Papa Rich on his birthday at the end of March.
Aunt Jen, Karysa and Noah
We walked in the room and found Karysa trying to feed Noah his Rice cracker-- so cute!

Happy boys!
