January 2012

I have many thoughts as to how I am going to run this site this year. I am thinking of making it more of a blog for me as a mom-- my rants, raves, what I am doing each day, recipes, AND the Boys updates!! I think of this as really a journal for me-- so it only makes sense! ;) So new format coming soon....
Maybe....
I may just be completely dreaming of the amount of time I actually have......

Anyway-- as far as our family update for the new year-- not too much has changed! Mason STILL refuses to walk-- even though he CAN! He has taken numerous steps numerous times-- he is just being a bit stubborn now-- is is just a very cautious little guy! We had his PT appt on Tuesday-- and he walked all kinds for her! I was so excited-- and she was sure he was off and running now-- but then he started boycotting it again! urgh! Oh well-- in his own time I guess!
On another note for Mason-- I can see his bottom 2 molars coming through...and boy does he let us know!!! The last week or so has been pretty tough. He gets really clingy with me and screams if I don't hold him, and has started waking once and a while at night again, and is waking really early in the morning again! Sometimes doesn't eat well either-- so I think that he gets hungry too. On top of it-- he is quite dramatic in nature anyway ;), so the whole house knows when he isn't feeling good! Poor guy though!

Noah is doing great! He running all around now! He is a serious climber. He can climb baby gates, benches on coffee tables, couches, into drawers, etc.! It's pretty crazy! Keeps me on my toes for sure! He is still our little man-- but as of his last appt, he was in the 25% for height now! whoohoo! Mason was in the 60%th!!

The worst thing that hit us this month was a horrible Flu. Anthony and I got extremely sick (vomit, dizziness, shills, "other-end", etc.) about the same time one night-- just hit us like a ton of bricks. We were sure it was food poisoning b/c we thought we knew exactly what it was about 8 hours earlier. Luckily, Mom and Randy were already int he Denver area-- and drove down to help us with the boys at about 10pm. Randy ended up taking us to the Emergency room b/c we were so sick-- and that is all that is open that time of night! The next day was a blur b/c we were so out of it-- but Anthony's mom and Grandma came down to relieve my parents-- so we really could not have survived that day without the help! Thank you all so much!!!! Turns out though-- later that night, Mason went completely exorcist on us and threww up everywhere!!! It was scary! Noah never ended up throwing up-- but he got the rest of it. Urgh-- so we were a wreck for a few days! Glad it is over to say the least.

I joined back the gym at the end of the month! It has an awesome huge kids play area/daycare, and I have the unlimited access for them-- so I can' take them as much as I want-- and I get time to myself-- and they get to play with other kids, etc.! It is great because I have really been struggling with keeping up with the boys by myself now-- and being able to do things with them with just one of me! They really are not content in a stroller anymore...and they want to explore-- but I can't "let them go" at places for kids (museum, library, parks, etc)-- because I can't keep my eye on both now that they are so mobile (and don't' really listen yet)! So-- I have really been trying to set up more playdates with friends around here, take advantage of when my mom or someone is here (and take the boys somewhere fun I can't do by myself!), and join the gym, and I've been looking into some other "parents day out" programs. Everything is just soooo expensive though!

anyway-- things are just moving right along in life--- always uncertainties, and always excitement! Until next time!

December and the Holidays!

We had a busy month! As I'm sure most everyone did! I had a few shoots this month, so I was staying busy with that, Anthony was working quite a bit at the beginning of the month, and the boys kept us on our toes as usual!
I love December because we always get to see so many friends and family due to the holidays, and people just having more time off work!! We got lucky this year too because Anthony took off 12 days of work with all his Holidays, alternative work schedule, etc! It was so nice to have him home! I am seriously bummed out for tomorrow when he goes back to work ;( .
We spent the holidays traveling all around northern Colorado, and then had a few days at our house with Devin and the family (my brother). We also got to see Cory (other bro) and his family a lot this break-- which was great because my niece is so great with the boys (she is almost 3), and they are "her best friends". So cute!
We went sledding a couple times (the boys LOVE it!), went to the Zoo, went for a hike today, saw a lot of family, worked on our office-- and it is almost done!!! I am typing in my new office as we speak... we just need to do the finishing touches-- Trim, staining the doors, and then decor. HUGE sigh of relief!! We have also spent many late nights watching Sons of Anarchy (streaming on Netflix), and other movies! We always regret it at 630 when the boys wake up.....
Great Holiday season!! We loved seeing you all!!!

The boys are getting so big--- becoming little boys! They are just the cutest little bugs though! Noah is running now-- and he loves bringing me snacks to eat from his snack shelf, taking Mason his baby, and sharing! Still loves being tickled and is such a giggly boy! Mason is getting close to walking-- but he still hesitates. Once he just decides to "let go" I think it will be really quick! We still do PT for him every 2 weeks. He is such a sweet heart-- and is such a little jabber box (still just baby talk)-- and will spend large amounts of time concentrating on one toy. He loves transferring things from one toy to another (putting in boxes, etc).
They both love all their new Xmas toys! Thank you all!
They are both struggling with more teeth--- urgh! Good days and bad days....
They are also both such little cuddle bugs now too! I love it!! Most mornings we will bring one of them into our bed for a little bit (whoever wakes up 1st)-- and I am loving it!

We are so excited for the near future-- Mason walking, both of them talking a bit, etc! It will be so fun! I am not kidding myself about this age-- it has probably been the most difficult yet--- but I will probably say that about every age! ;)

Happy New Year to all!!

WARNING! Super cute pics ahead--- but A LOT of them!!! Too many pics this month! ;)
