April 2012

April kept us very busy with teething (molars and canines...ugh!), sleep schedules messed up a bit, Bath time terrors, possible potty training (Noah), and just playing outside and with friends a lot!!
The boys are really turning into little BOYS....they love to get dirty, play with bugs, mud, throw things, wrestle around, and eat! ;)  It has been so fun to watch them outside everyday just exploring and becoming so independent!  They no longer have to stay on the porch, and run around the yard and on the trail, etc  (Mason still needs a bit of help with the trail).
They are doing great according to the doctor (18 month check up)-- Noah was just under 21 lbs (still my little guy;), and Mason was 24 lbs.  He says he even thinks they may be ahead a bit on speech!  Mason is just blowing up with words--- it was like the second that he decided to walk, he decided to talk too!  He just copies everything that we say!  Some of his favorite words are:  Awesome, kite, Nemo, I'll get it, all done, Poly (for Roly Poly), yay, please, and more!!!  Everyday he is saying something new!  Noah is catching on as well-- but not quite as explosive as Mason.

We spend most of our days playing outside, going to the gym, babytime at the library, playdates with friends, running errands (although this is getting tough b/c they are NOT wanting to be in their stroller or shopping cart anymore!), looking for bugs, playing with the water in the sidewalk gutter ;), watching cartoons int he AM (PBS), and Mason has to watch parts of "Nemo" everyday (he is obsessed!).  They also really enjoy just getting into their cribs or pacnplay together and jumping around and playing with toys together in there.  It's pretty hilarious to listen to!  We have gone to the zoo a few times already--- the boys really like ti-- Mason is really into the animals-- but is scared of them too--so it is kinda funny/sad to watch sometimes!  Noah pretty much just chills out in the stroller!

Easter was nice-- we spent the weekend up north and went to Church with Great Grandma and Grandpa :Lopez in Greeley!  the boys did sooooo good!  Not a peep out of them! ;)  Then we went back to their house for a nice meal and family time and Easter egg hunt and Pinata!!  The boys really liked the Easter thing-- but Mason more so.  He loved looking for the Eggs (with Grandma Lorrie)-- and he was really good at it!  then we headed over to Papa Rich's house to hangout and see Cory, Jen, Connor and Karysa too!  2 Easter's!  Great day!

We had a follow up allergy appt for Mason-- and it didn't really make us feel much better.  Whatever though-- this is just what we have to deal with!  The damn squirrels keep dropping peanut shells in our yard all over though-- so it is frustrating when I have to keep an eagle eye on everywhere mason is playing....urgh!  Come on people-- don't feed the squirrels!!!!  He likes "Sunbutter" though-- so that has been a good PB substitute.

They are both just getting so smart-- I can't believe how they figure things out-- it is so cool to watch.

At the end of the month-- Noah had a bad Ear infection-- and we didn't know for 3 days-- so I felt so bad for him!!  Then we all got a Viral infection-- we are still fighting off.....both boys got bad hives too-- and them Mason's turned into a horrible Excema type rash again.  Poor dude.

Anyway-- excited for the spring and summer!!!
